Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Games were held without spectators. During this unprecedented period, the mural undeniably existed alongside athletes from around the world. Within the international stage of the Olympics, it became a notable example of contemporary wall art being integrated into an official competition venue, demonstrating both the cultural value of art and its broader potential. Here as well, the Button Flower painted by SHUN SUDO bloomed on site—as a symbol of connection, bringing people together beyond boundaries.
